Tales of Kenzera: Zau is a new side-scrolling game based on African mythology. The themes it invokes are around navigating grief. It is partly based on the experiences of the creator, Abubakar Salim, who like the main character in the game, had to deal with the loss of his father. We don't normally get games like these centered on Black stories with Black creators, so this could be a significant step in game development and design if this game is successful. The NCAA and USC both divested themselves of any association with Reggie Bush once an investigation was completed and there was evidence of him receiving money and gifts while he was in college. This was a violation of NCAA rules and for years, Reggis Bush was not included and acknowledged as a Heisman winner due to those violations. This week, Reggie Bush was reinstated as a Heisman winner. Most students will go through their whole collegiate experience and never study abroad, let alone study abroad in Africa. Malcolm X College sent students to Kenya last month which is one of many countries in Africa the city college plans to send students to study abroad. A trip to Kenya or any African country is important because of the narrative surrounding Africa and the need for it to be dispelled, and it allows for ideas to be exchanged which can lead to development, growth, and progress.
