Over the last few years, we’ve seen more and more musicians and athletes receive special meals. This week, McDonalds and Angel Reese announced a special meal for the WNBA All-Star coming February 10. It will be called The Angel Reese Special and includes a BBQ Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese featuring a new Bold BBQ Sauce, World Famous Fries, and a choice of drink. She will be the first female athlete to receive a special meal. Not only does the immense star power of Angel Reese, but it also shows how much the WNBA and women’s sports in general have expanded over the years. Because many WNBA players play in other leagues during the off-season because of the limited salary in the WNBA, deals such as these may allow for them to have to. These sorts of deals will also assist in expanding the players and league to new audiences.

Nicholas Daley is a British designer with Jamaican heritage. This week, he presented his Fall/Winter 2025 menswear collection which merged his British and Jamaican heritage and created a vibrant and colorful aesthetic. Nicholas has said that his work is meant to showcase the “diversity of places and spaces and people.” This collection is evidence of a commitment to that goal.

Netflix released the trailer for an adaptation of Judy Blume’s novel “Forever.” This coming of age film is directed by Mara Brock Akil (Moesha, Girlfriends, Jamie Foxx Show, The Game, Being Mary Jane) and starring Lovie Simone and Michael Cooper Jr. Check out the trailer below.
