Kibera Ballet School, an NGO-funded ballet school in Kenya puts on a Christmas show every year in the Kibera Slums of Kenya. A yearly tradition, this show brings joy to the residents of Kibera as well as the crowds of onlookers who want to witness the routines that the young dancers have been practicing for months. Dancing is an important aspect of Kenyan culture, and the Kibera Ballet School provides both an outlet and useful skills for young dancers that can be translated to other fields.

The Black hair care market is set to reach $12 billion by 2032. With celebrities such as Rihanna and Beyonce looking to capitalize on the very evident demand for Black hair care products coming from Black-owned companies, more entrepreneurs will follow. Bozoma Saint John started Eve By Boz to be a beacon for Black women’s haircare needs. She’s been in leadership positions at Netflix, Uber, Endeavor, Apple Music, and PepsiCo and will now be using her talents to provide a much-needed service to one of the highest-spending groups in the hair care industry.

Nielson reported that the viewership for the Ravens and Steelers game on Netflix peaked during the halftime show which was headlined by Beyonce. Netflix had 27 million viewers tuned into their live airing of the game on Christmas Day. Unlike the Tyson v. Paul fight, there were no buffering issues. It seems Netflix figured out how to handle the large numbers. In 2019 Beyonce signed a $60 million deal with Netflix. The first show was the Homecoming Coachella show, the second one was this halftime performance, and the third one is to be determined.
