It’s hard to believe that in 2025, Shakespeare is still breaking box office records. But these things happen when a legendary name like Denzel Washington is involved. Denzel Washington is currently starring in Othello on Broadway and is selling tickets as high as $921 a seat and grossed a Broadway record of $2,818,297 in its eight performances. This isn’t the first time Denzel has delivered a Shakespearean performance. He starred in a film release of Macbeth in 2021 to which he was nominated for an Academy Award and Golden Globe Award. He has also been in stage productions of Coriolanus, The Tragedy of Richard III, and Julius Caesar.

This NBA season LeBron James and LeBron James Jr. became the first father-son duo to play in the NBA at the same time. What this meant for his legacy and the meaning of longevity was without question. LeBron James for most of his career has been under a high level of scrutiny, but with his son also entering the NBA, this meant he would also be subjected to some scrutiny as well. Both as an NBA player but also as the son of LeBron James. On March 6, that all came to a boiling point when during a game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Knicks, LeBron James approached journalist and media personality Stephen A. Smith about comments he made both about his position as a father and his son. This has drawn mixed reactions both from players and the media. Some understand that a father should always defend his child and others feel as though since the son is an NBA player and therefore a public figure, he can’t be above scrutiny. This has sparked intense conversations about nepotism.
